The Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix 2011 back this September

The Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix is finally approaching the lion city again from 23rd to 25th September 2011. This annual event features 3 full days of exhilarating car races highlighting celebrity Formula One car teams and worldwide prominent car racers competing across the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
F1 fans and supporters should find greater value with this year’s F1 race which is packed with exclusive programmes such as the series of unique celebrations, shows and exhibitions, race-themed events, celebrity-rocking music concerts, dining and shopping events, and many more.
A sneak preview of former Red Bull car driver racing down Orchard Road took place last Sunday on the 24 April 2011; David Coulthard has streaked the lanes, covering an 800-metre long track whilst performing a series of manoeuvres, including short sprints, engine breaks and donuts. This Red Bull Speed Street event at Ngee Ann City has attracted about 50,000 fans to ION Orchard, Scotts Road, the Heeren and Mandarin Gallery. It is definitely a huge warm-up before the commencement of the upcoming F1 major event.
For the official F1 event, a wheel-chair bound platform will be specially built and added for visitors with limited mobility this year. Grammy Award-winning international pop band, Linkin Park will also be performing live on the race day, 25 September 2011. Their performance will take place at the Padang main stage. The complete details of the 5 million entertainment line-up for F1 will be announced in the next few months.
